I wrote and recorded this way back in December 2024. I was very unemployed and had been in NYC for less than 6 months. Job rejection after job rejection, I definitely hit some lows and questioned my decisions, but I reminded myself that I only lose if I quit. Feeling sorry for myself won’t change the situation; only action can.
This song was a product of being extremely discouraged, but remembering that it’s up to me to get myself to where I want to be.
